Role Overview
The AML/KYC Associate role at JPMorganChase is a first line of defence position responsible for the onboarding of customers and fund investors in JPMAME Luxembourg domiciled funds. The team performs due diligence in accordance with applicable corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Team members will collaborate closely with Client Service teams across various jurisdictions to determine the appropriate level of due diligence based on client type, location, and activity. Responsibilities include performing due diligence using received information/documents, updating client KYC records, conducting client and related parties screening, resolving screening alerts, and escalating exceptions. The team is also responsible for instructing Transfer Agents to open client accounts once due diligence is complete.
As an Associate, you will report to the JPMAME AML Team Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform customer due diligence in accordance with established work practices, policies, and procedures during onboarding.
- Conduct periodic reviews (Refresh) on existing documentation, identifying and mitigating any gaps through independent research, online tools, or client outreach.
- Respond to stakeholders on all related queries.
- Research and analyze AML and other regulatory topics, applying sound judgment to assist in devising the department's strategy.
- Implement and enhance procedures as required by regulation or policy.
- Support the delivery of the department roadmap.
- Adhere to JPMAME established processes and procedures.
- Continuously strive to modify and iterate processes and flows to improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk.

- Communication: Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate and articulate complex messages to a variety of audiences including senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Asset Management.
- Good understanding of the principles of compliance in the financial sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Previous experience in AML KYC Compliance.
- AML qualification.
