About the Software Engineer III Role
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the COGT- Legal Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronization of algorithms.
- Develop architecture and design artifacts ensuring design constraints are met.
- Analyze and visualize large data sets to drive continuous improvements.
- Identify hidden problems and patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of applied experience and formal training in software engineering.
- Proficient in Core Java (Java 1.8+), Spring Boot, RESTful micro services, AWS, and Terraform.
- Experience with Kafka, Python for data pipelines, and SQL/relational models.
- Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD and security fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern back-end technologies and cloud services.
- Exposure to areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technologies.
