Overview
The Payment Ops Data Architect/Engineer – Vice President at JPMC will drive the development of a data strategy and architecture for Payments Operations. This role involves working with diverse data sources, collaborating with analytics teams, and shaping the future state of data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Understand the data landscape and leverage available data resources.
- Source and prepare data from databases, no-SQL, Hadoop, and Cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with data analytics to optimize solutions and develop new ideas.
- Partner with the Data Domain Architect lead on resource management.
- Work with Technology, Product, and CIB data partners to implement use cases.
- Evaluate existing data architecture and define the future state roadmap.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of relevant work experience as a software developer, data/ML engineer, data scientist, or business intelligence engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams with a consultative approach.
- Experience with Agile Methodology.
- Cloud platform expertise, with hands-on experience using Databricks or Snowflake.
- Proficiency in traditional databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Python/PySpark and ETL tools like Alteryx.
- Fundamental knowledge of Data Architecture and data preparation techniques.
- Experience with analytics and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Alteryx.
- Exposure to data science, AI/ML and model development.
