Senior Accountant

Position Details
- Position Type: Temp to Hire
- Pay Rate: $35–$40/hr.
- Salary Upon Conversion: $75K–$90K
- Worksite: Fully Onsite (West Loop)
- Target Start Date: Mid to Late May
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly close processes
- Prepare and review daily bank reconciliations
- Generate and analyze accurate financial statements
- Perform month-end allocations and expense analysis
- Lead annual audit process, including audit schedules and coordination with external auditors
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial reporting
- Partner with auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Support forecasting and projections with historical financial data
- Handle general accounting responsibilities and ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with ERP systems (Financial Edge is a plus)
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
