Role Overview:

We are hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that fuels Joveo's machine learning models and business intelligence. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and data — building pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Build and manage data warehousing and lakehouse architectures
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability across all pipelines
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, usable datasets
• Optimize query performance and infrastructure costs on cloud platforms
• Document data models, pipelines, and ingestion processes thoroughly

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Python or Scala for data pipeline development
• Proficiency with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake)
• Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling best practices
• Experience with streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink)
• Familiarity with dbt, data contracts, or modern data stack tooling
