As the Maitre D at Zaytinya, you will ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience by delivering personalized, efficient, and passionate service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate in a fast-paced, guest-centric, team-oriented environment.
  • Partner with team members to exceed guest expectations with food and beverages.
  • Maintain a professional presence in key areas including the door, lobby, and dining floor.
  • Guide guests through the menu and serve with precision and friendliness.
  • Execute opening, running, and closing side work tasks with consistency.
  • Memorize allergens and assist guests in selecting appropriate menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization across workspaces including coat check and tables.
  • Assist in coordinating special events such as Tour de José.
  • Delegate tasks efficiently during opening and closing.
  • Communicate reservation details effectively via phone and pre-shift meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Availability: Minimum 3 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
  • 2-3 years of high-volume restaurant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and guest relations skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Knowledge of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails is beneficial.
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems and reservations platforms (Resy/Open Table).
  • Professional appearance in business casual attire.
  • Relevant culinary and/or hospitality certifications are a plus.
