AI Solutions Tech Lead

About the Role

Joppy is seeking a visionary Technical Lead – AI Solutions (FinTech & LegalTech) for a client based in Spain. This is a fully remote position, requiring candidates to be currently located in Spain. You will be instrumental in bridging cutting-edge AI research with production-ready solutions, transforming how institutions manage complex financial data and legal frameworks. Your role will be the architectural North Star for the AI roadmap, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and ethically sound.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI engineers and developers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Architecture & Design: Design and oversee AI architectures, focusing on LLMs, NLP, and predictive analytics for financial/legal use cases.
• Product Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the AI product roadmap, identifying AI disruption opportunities in FinTech and LegalTech.
• Hands-on Development: Contribute to critical code components and conduct rigorous code reviews in a player-coach capacity.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure AI solutions meet strict regulatory standards (GDPR, EU AI Act, financial data privacy).
• Innovation: Stay ahead of AI trends like Agentic workflows, RAG, and Fine-tuning to maintain a competitive edge.

Technical Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role and a strong AI project track record.
• Extensive experience with Python and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Proven expertise in RAG, fine-tuning LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama), and vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and MLOps for production deployment and monitoring.
• Familiarity with financial datasets, smart contracts, or automated document analysis is highly preferred.
