About the Role
One of the companies Joppy collaborates with, a TOP Cybersecurity startup, is actively seeking a Mid AI Engineer to join their team in Barcelona. This pioneering company is developing a next-generation cybersecurity platform, driven by AI agents, to transition organizations from reactive defense to proactive protection. Their technology leverages threat intelligence, automation, and advanced machine learning to empower security teams to detect threats faster, respond smarter, and prevent their spread before impact.
As a Mid AI Engineer, you will be a crucial part of the core team, dedicated to building the robust AI engine that underpins this innovative platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and models utilizing Python and the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and streamline model deployment workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Analyze extensive datasets to uncover patterns, anomalies, and critical insights pertaining to cybersecurity threats.
- Collaborate closely with the team to seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into the product and deliver impactful features.
- Research and actively experiment with cutting-edge advancements in AI, Machine Learning, and agentic frameworks.
- Document all AI workflows, models, and analytical results comprehensively.
- Continuously evaluate and fine-tune model performance to adapt to evolving business and security requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience in a similar AI, Machine Learning, or Data-related role.
- A strong academic background in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python and prominent AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform, or a strong willingness and aptitude to learn it rapidly.
- Comfort working with both structured and unstructured data, along with relevant databases and tools.
- A keen interest in cybersecurity or a genuine curiosity to develop expertise within the domain.
- A team-oriented mindset, capable of thriving in a small, collaborative startup environment.
- A creative problem-solver who contributes innovative ideas and challenges existing paradigms.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- High level of English proficiency is required; Spanish language skills are a valuable asset.
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced professional environment is a plus.
