Clinical Supply Chain Pack and Tech Coordinator at Johnson & Johnson
As a Clinical Supply Chain Pack and Tech Coordinator (EP) at Johnson & Johnson, you will be instrumental in ensuring a reliable and repeatable high level of service within our clinical supply chain. This role involves executing critical processes between J&J Clinical Supply Operations and our extensive internal and external packaging network. You will actively seek opportunities for cost savings and provide essential support for issue resolution, contributing directly to the efficient and compliant delivery of clinical supply to ensure successful patient dosing.
Collaboration is key in this hybrid role, requiring close partnership with stakeholders across Procurement, Quality, Finance, Planners, Clinical Supply Operations, and Logistics.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Initiate, manage, and oversee finished clinical goods shipments from pack and label vendors into the distribution network.
- Coordinate the creation, review, and communication of protocol-specific source medication lists.
- Conduct issue resolution activities for supply aspects of clinical studies, including receiving, packaging, and inventory management.
- Ensure that business performance goals, objectives, and metrics are consistently achieved, adhering to GMP guidelines and all other compliance requirements.
- Escalate critical risks and issues appropriately and support their resolution, including clear communication to the pack and tech leadership team.
- Support other functional tasks or projects aimed at improving business processes and tools.
- Provide services that strictly adhere to applicable Johnson & Johnson SOPs, Work Instructions, policies, local regulatory requirements, and ICH-GCP.
How to Succeed
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in supply chain principles and relevant experience.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 0–4 years of experience in a related supply chain, science, or clinical supply role, or a Pharm D.
- Preferred Functional Experience: Clinical supply pack/label/distribution, clinical trial operations, project management, pharma/bio research and development, or inventory management.
Knowledge & Technical Skill
- Regulatory: General knowledge of GxP principles.
- Supply Processes: Knowledge of several processes including supply chain relationship management, inventory management, supply planning, and Lean 6 Sigma.
- Systems: Proficiency in systems such as e-marketplace, OMP, SAP R/3 or ERP, and other business processes common to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify process gaps based on data or root cause analysis.
