We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to strengthen the data team for Long-term Care. If you have experience in programming and an affinity for data, we are looking for you. Coöperatie VGZ leads the way in AI, Databricks, and Azure Cloud, providing an excellent environment for you to take your first steps in these advanced technologies. You will work on the VGZ Data Platform, which serves as the foundation for all information used in policy documents within the Long-term Care department. Your primary focus will be on unlocking sources and data.

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer with a passion for efficiently making data accessible for analytical applications. You will help optimize existing processes and enable new ones. You will proactively enhance the quality and reliability of available data, understanding what is needed without overcomplicating solutions. Your work and products will have a significant impact on our organization. You will translate opportunities and wishes into relevant, functional BI solutions, collaborating with your team on implementation and impact.

You will join a young, enthusiastic, and eager-to-learn team dedicated to the VGZ Data Platform (VDP) for Long-term Care. The team's goal is to improve data quality and build solutions to facilitate this.

• A salary between €3,737 and €5,338 gross per month based on a 38-hour week (Salary Scale X of the VGZ Collective Labor Agreement).
• Holiday pay (8%) and a thirteenth month (8.33%).
• The flexibility to work from home, with a minimum of one day per week in the office. We facilitate an ergonomic home office setup.
• A monthly net reimbursement of €40 for home internet.
• 208 vacation hours per year for a 38-hour work week, with the option to purchase additional hours via the Choice Budget.
• An employer contribution of €60 gross per month to your VGZ health insurance.

What You Bring

As our new Junior Data Engineer, you will contribute to a healthier Netherlands and healthcare innovation. Your eagerness to learn and curiosity will enable you to successfully complete projects. Furthermore, you are highly analytical and possess a helicopter view. You should also have:

• A completed HBO degree in a technical field.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Python, SQL, BI-tooling, and architectural principles.
• Knowledge of ETL pipeline concepts.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Databricks is a plus.
