Sustainable Investing Associate
Our client, a highly regarded Investment firm with circa $60Bil of AUM, has a new opening for a highly motivated Sustainable Investing Associate to join their Sustainable Investing team. This role will support the Head of Sustainable Investing as part of the global Sustainable Investing research team, playing a critical role in delivering the firm's Sustainable Investing strategy. The focus will be on integration, involving understanding responsible investment practices across different asset classes and investment strategies through analysis and engagement with managers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments of third-party asset managers across all asset classes.
- Support implementation of manager engagement strategy and associated reporting.
- Lead development and management of internal sustainable investing tools and dashboards.
- Manage relationships with third-party data providers.
- Support implementation and reporting of sustainable investment mandates.
- Data analysis and presentation preparation for RfPs responses and client engagements.
- Thematic research and analysis focused on investment-relevant sustainability topics.
- Support data collection, analysis, and drafting of sustainability-related reporting and disclosures, including the annual Sustainable Investment report, PRI, TCFD, etc.
Background & Experience
The ideal candidate for the Sustainable Investing Associate role will possess strong quantitative skills and an active interest in investment, capital markets, and particularly Sustainable Investing. It would be highly beneficial to bring an understanding of different asset classes, such as public equities, private equity, private debt, and hedge funds. Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a professional services role, ideally with a sustainability remit, is required. An active passion for, and understanding of, sustainability, investing, and asset management is essential. Candidates should possess a high level of numeracy, strong quantitative, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is necessary, along with proficiency in, or willingness to learn, PowerBI or other analytics tools. Experience in detailed and data-heavy report writing is also important.
