Job Description
Overview
Our client, a highly regarded multi asset Investment firm, is seeking a mid-level lawyer to join their UK-based legal team. The role focuses on providing commercial legal support across the global business.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on commercial matters globally.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a range of contracts including service, vendor, IT, lease, licensing, and technology agreements.
- Support the design and implementation of governance frameworks, including AI governance structures.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Data Management, and other teams to refine policies and ensure GDPR and data protection compliance.
- Offer ad-hoc legal support on corporate governance and other commercial issues.
Background & Experience
The ideal candidate is a mid-level lawyer qualified in England and Wales or another common law jurisdiction with around three years of post-qualification experience. In-house experience is advantageous. Applicants should have:
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts.
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating diverse agreements.
- Familiarity with data protection laws such as GDPR.
- An interest in the financial services sector and its regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
