Role Overview
This market-leading, independent asset manager, specializing in global fixed income and equity strategies, is actively seeking an Investment Analytics Analyst. This role is ideal for candidates with approximately 1-3 years of relevant industry experience, focusing on providing analytical support to Fixed Income Portfolio Managers and enhancing investment analytics capabilities. The position demands strong quantitative, qualitative, and systems expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
- Successfully deliver equity and fixed income performance measurement, analytics, and risk statistics, with a particular emphasis on fixed income analytics.
- Utilize Sylvan and FactSet performance and analytics systems to generate periodic and ad hoc performance reporting and analytics.
- Leverage FactSet PA3 to produce accurate and insightful monthly performance and attribution reporting, especially for fixed income, and to address ad-hoc requests.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on fixed income analytics models, confidently explaining models and results to Investment professionals.
- Maintain ongoing liaison with portfolio managers to identify and articulate drivers of investment performance.
- Collaborate with Client Services to support client reporting, new business development, and marketing requirements.
- Take ownership of continuous process improvement initiatives within the Investment Analytics team.
Background Experience
- A degree in Mathematics or Statistics is preferred.
- IMC and/or CFA qualifications are advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
- Essential knowledge of FactSet.
- SQL/VBA skills are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income mathematics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of performance, attribution, and benchmarks.
- Numerate with solid analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
