DevOps Engineer

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join Cognizant to work with a key player in the banking and insurance sector. This position is for profiles with at least 4 years of tangible experience in a DevOps role. You will contribute to application maintenance (TMA), continuous evolution, and delivery activities. You will be part of a replacement within an existing Cognizant team, distributed between France and India. Cognizant is a long-term partner for this account. Our understanding of the environment, priorities, and transformation programs allows us to support multiple teams on topics such as technical evolution, platform modernization, and digital transformation.

This is a permanent position at Cognizant. A start date within a maximum of two months is desired, depending on availability and notice period.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to TMA activities, continuous evolutions, and application deliveries.
• Work on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Utilize AWS tools and services (CloudWatch, monitoring, automation, etc.).
• Work on an application scope focused on retail banking, within an AWS environment, microservices, and automated platforms.
• Collaborate with a mixed France/India team.
• Analyze, understand, and improve existing code as part of application support.

What We're Looking For

• Ideally, a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven experience in DevOps (minimum 3 years).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and associated tools, including Jenkins.
• Knowledge of AWS environments (CloudWatch, logs, monitoring).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, particularly Terraform.
• Knowledge of Lambda environments and microservices architectures.
• Experience in TMA and understanding of existing code.
• Fluent French and professional English.

• Having started your career in back-end development, ideally in Java, with potential notions in React.
• Having transitioned to DevOps responsibilities, with an understanding of development, automation, and continuous delivery challenges.
• Interest in DevOps and cloud topics.
• Knowledge of the banking/finance sector.
• Technological curiosity and understanding of best practices.

Work Model: Hybrid
