The Tribe: Output Solutions in Operation Services
The Output Solutions business unit within the Tribe Operation Services is responsible for preparing documents for customers, both for electronic delivery and physical dispatch. This team annually creates nearly 2 billion PDF documents for electronic mailboxes and produces approximately 835 million DIN-A4 print pages. These documents are printed, enveloped, and sent as approximately 190 million letters from three different locations.
Your Role as an Application Engineer Output Management Systems
As an Application Engineer Output Management Systems focusing on workflow control, you will be based at the Karlsruhe location. Your responsibilities include:
- Implementing, configuring, and further developing specialized applications and services for document creation and document management in a Linux system environment, specifically for digital full-color printing and electronic output channels.
- Focusing on the support and further development of the central workflow system.
- Creating or optimizing workflows within the workflow system based on sysHUB (Canon) in conjunction with Oracle databases and Web services, according to technical or customer-specific requirements.
- Automating and optimizing routine tasks, operational activities, and associated document management processes.
- Creating functional and test concepts, process descriptions, as well as architecture and system documentation.
- Ensuring the provision and operation of applications, components, and subsystems within the Output Management System, including incident and problem management.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-related qualification with several years of professional experience in document management.
- Good knowledge of process integration in technical workflows, Oracle databases, and configuration of database queries with SQL, Web services, and application configurations under Linux.
- Solid understanding of common data formats and production processes in digital printing and output management environments.
- A willingness to independently acquire new knowledge and skills.
- An autonomous and structured working style, coupled with strong team and cooperation skills.
