About the Role

For our Output Solutions business unit within the Operation Services Tribe, we are looking for you as an Application Engineer Output Management Systems (Workflow Control) at the Karlsruhe location. Our Operation Services Tribe ensures that documents are appropriately prepared for our customers - for both electronic delivery and physical dispatch. Annually, we generate nearly 2 billion PDF documents for electronic mailboxes and produce around 835 million A4 print pages, which are printed, enveloped, and mailed from our three locations.Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and further development of applications and services in the area of document creation, document management for full-color digital printing, and electronic output channels in a Linux system environment. Your focus will be on supporting and further developing the central workflow system.
- You will create or optimize workflows in the workflow system based on sysHUB (Canon) in conjunction with Oracle databases and web services according to functional or customer-specific requirements.
- You will automate and optimize routine tasks, operational activities, and associated document management processes.
- You will create functional and test concepts, process descriptions, and architecture and system documentation.
- You will be responsible for the deployment and operation of applications, components, and subsystems within the Output Management System, including incident and problem management.
Requirements
- You have completed a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT qualification with several years of professional experience in document management.
- You have good knowledge of integrating processes into technical workflows, Oracle databases, and configuring database queries with SQL, web services, as well as application configurations under Linux.
- You bring sound knowledge of common data formats and production processes in the context of digital printing and output management.
- You are willing to independently acquire new knowledge.
- You work independently and structured, and possess strong team and cooperation skills.
