- Conduct post-migration validation, service checks, log audits, and user verification.
- Migrate Solaris Logical Domains (LDOMs) to AIX 7.3 LPARs and RHEL 8/9 systems.
- Host Solaris-based applications (Oracle tools, Apache, in-house binaries) onto AIX or RHEL 9.
- Transition AIX Logical Partitions (LPARs) to AIX 7.3 LPARs.
- Migrate standalone AIX 6.1/7.1 systems to AIX 7.3 on IBM Power10.
- Transform Solaris-based services into OCI-compliant containers for OpenShift deployment.
- Host existing containerized workloads into OpenShift 4.12+ environments.
- Move essential system services (cron jobs, SFTP/FTP, logging agents) to RHEL 9 or OpenShift containers.
- Migrate middleware applications from legacy Solaris and AIX systems to modern platforms.
- Convert Solaris ZFS/UFS file systems into JFS2 (for AIX) or XFS/LVM (for RHEL).
- Transfer user environments and authentication mechanisms.
- Port and validate all custom shell and automation scripts.
- Convert Solaris SMF and init.d services to RHEL systemd unit files or equivalent AIX startup services.
- Deploy backup software clients, transitioning from NetBackup to Commvault where applicable.
- Migrate system logging configurations to modern standards.
- Validate that all applications and services operate identically post-migration.
- Reconnect shared file systems and mounts (NFS, CIFS).
- Migrate the POS application stack and its standby environment, including Oracle ASM and Oracle Data Guard configurations.
- Conduct comprehensive validation and operational certification of the POS environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in migrating Solaris and AIX systems to modern platforms (AIX 7.3, RHEL 9, OpenShift).
- Expertise in migrating Solaris Zones (Global and Non-Global) and LDOMs.
- Strong understanding of SPARC hardware and IBM Power10 systems.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (OCI, OpenShift 4.12+).

- Familiarity with Veritas SFRAC, CFS, GAB/LLT clustering.
- Skilled in converting SMF, init.d, and systemd services.
- Experience with file system conversions (ZFS/UFS to JFS2/XFS/LVM).
- Knowledge of user environment and authentication migration (SSH, sudo, PAM).
- Scripting proficiency (ksh, bash, Perl).
- Experience with backup software migration (NetBackup to Commvault).
- Familiarity with modern logging standards (journald, rsyslog).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
