About the Role

Next Step Systems is seeking a Technical Operations Analyst who is proficient in Python for electronic trading systems. This 100% remote role involves overseeing trading system operations and maintenance, developing automation tools, and troubleshooting complex network and systems issues.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production trading systems ensuring stability.
  • Develop automation tools to streamline operations.
  • Triage and troubleshoot network and system issues.
  • Collaborate with development for system improvements.
  • Plan and execute changes within a global framework.
  • Participate in on call coverage in a team rotation.
  • Support other business initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates need a bachelor's or associate degree in a technical field. Must be highly proficient in Python, experienced in Linux and networking (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, multicast). Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting electronic trading systems.
  • Knowledge of Grafana or similar data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server and Windows 11.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in operations.
