Talent Acquisition Business Partner at a Major Aerospace Company
As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the quality of talent hired by a major aerospace company. Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive sourcing support for a variety of engineering, technical business management, and functional areas.
- Manage competing priorities in an ever-changing environment, consistently delivering exceptional talent acquisition solutions.
- Source and recruit qualified talent while maintaining excellent customer service with hiring managers, candidates, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with client-facing recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop targeted sourcing plans.
- Support events-based sourcing, focused invitational events, and targeted career fairs.
- Attract cleared talent and possess knowledge of security clearances.
- Ensure data integrity within the candidate management database.
Strategic Talent Acquisition
- Apply a business mindset to the talent acquisition function.
- Research market conditions and industry trends related to competitors to inform decision-making and position marketing.
- Connect all talent management phases: acquisition, development, retention, and culture.
- Leverage data and market intelligence to develop and execute staffing strategies.
Sourcing Expertise
- Utilize professional networks to source candidates for active requisitions.
- Source candidates from diverse channels, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn, HireEZ, ClearanceJobs.com, Indeed.com, social media, and advanced search engines (Google Chrome, Google X-ray, Boolean searching, niche job boards).
- Employ social networking mediums (e.g., LinkedIn groups) to promote the employment brand and drive traffic to open roles.
- Track day-to-day sourcing activity and candidate interactions using CRM.
- Successfully source and attract passive external talent.
- Leverage sourcing data in weekly conversations with hiring managers and TA leadership.
- Conduct extensive data mining across social media to identify candidate profiles.
- Perform phone screens to pre-qualify candidates and maintain consistent contact.
Consultation, Assessment, and Selection
- Attain a high-level understanding of business, program, technological, and cultural challenges.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the external recruiting landscape within your function.
- Accurately assess candidates (in-person or phone) for cultural, competency, and skill fit.
- Quickly synthesize candidate and hiring manager feedback.
- Routinely pre-close candidates early in the process to ensure high acceptance rates.
Working Schedule
This position operates on a 9/80 schedule, allowing employees to work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of sourcing and/or full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience sourcing technical talent across various engineering disciplines (Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) and non-technical disciplines (business, production, operations, supply chain).
- Previous experience sourcing cleared talent.
- Experience sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter or other advanced sourcing platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in both agency and corporate recruiting environments.
- Prior experience sourcing and/or recruiting specifically within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
