About SAIC and the Role

SAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions to the U.S. federal government. They are seeking a qualified Software Test QA Engineer for a FULLY REMOTE position, supporting their AFMS (Air Force Modeling & Simulation) program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasize knowledge of UI testing and test automation tools, including Playwrite.
  • Work within an Agile Team to plan and develop automated test scripts for integration testing.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts using program tools and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing efforts.
  • Apply experience in an agile testing environment, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Utilize knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts for script development.
  • Develop automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages.
  • Develop and automate tests for comprehensive software validation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Detect bug issues, prepare defect reports, and communicate test progress effectively.
  • Utilize experience with the AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and create detailed test cases and/or test cards.
  • Create artifacts of test results and maintain clear documentation of all executed test plans.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and software quality analysts to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, ideally using Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or above (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CASP+CE, CISSP) at the time of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with various testing tools.
  • Knowledge of diagramming software.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
  • High-level technical writing skills.
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred, Azure acceptable).
