Snowflake Admin DBA With RBAC Experience

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Info Junction LLC, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Database Administrator with over 10 years of experience to manage, optimize, and secure their cloud data platform.

Snowflake Administration & Optimization

  • Administer and manage the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Optimize virtual warehouses for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Perform query performance tuning and schema optimizations.
  • Monitor Snowflake credit usage and implement cost control strategies.
  • Manage data loading, ingestion (Snowpipe) and unloading processes.
  • Utilize features such as Zero-Copy Cloning, Time Travel, and Fail-safe.

Security & Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust RBAC model following least privilege.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and access privileges for secure data access.
  • Configure advanced security features like Data Masking, Row Access Policies, and network controls.
  • Integrate with identity providers for SSO and SCIM.
  • Conduct regular access reviews and security audits to ensure compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).

Operations & Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to performance and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Automate tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, and SnowSQL, and IaC tools (Terraform).
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for schemas, configurations and security practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
