Role Summary

The Implementation Technical Specialist is responsible for the configuration, development, and deployment of ServiceNow applications to support enterprise digital workflows. This role bridges the gap between functional requirements and technical delivery, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure ServiceNow solutions that align with client goals and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Configuration & Development
  • Design and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, and custom workflows.
  • Develop scripts (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, etc.) using JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Customize ServiceNow UI and create automated data integrations via APIs, MID Servers, and other methods.
Implementation & Deployment
  • Participate in Agile project delivery, including story point estimation, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Deploy configuration and code changes across development, test, and production environments.
  • Perform unit testing, peer reviews, and support UAT.
Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with functional consultants, architects, and clients to interpret requirements into technical designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time during project implementations.
  • Provide post-go-live support and transition to operations teams.
Platform Governance & Best Practices
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards and platform governance.
  • Maintain platform security and performance integrity through compliance with security protocols and optimization techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-6 years of experience with ServiceNow platform implementation and administration.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow development frameworks.
  • Experience with ITSM and at least one additional ServiceNow product (e.g., HRSD, CSM, ITOM, or GRC).
  • Familiarity with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, LDAP, SSO.
  • Expertise with setting up the ServiceNow Environments from the start.

Preferred Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification (in ITSM, HRSD, or CSM)
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations Certification
