About the Role
The SAP Cash Application Machine Learning Expert position is offered by Aptino via Jobs via Dice. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing intelligent cash application solutions within SAP environments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SAP Accounts Receivable and Cash Application processes combined with strong machine learning skills to drive automation and enhance working capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of SAP Cash Application solutions including SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP FSCM.
- Configure and optimize SAP Cash Application powered by Machine Learning on SAP BTP.
- Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models for automated payment matching and remittance advice processing.
- Improve auto-matching rates, reduce unapplied cash, and minimize manual intervention.
- Analyze historical AR and payment data to enhance prediction accuracy.
- Integrate SAP systems with bank interfaces, lockbox files, EBS, and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor ML model performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Offer expertise in exception handling, dispute management, and deduction workflows.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, data governance, and security standards.
- Support testing cycles and production deployments and document specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Finance with a strong focus on Cash Application.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP FSCM, and SAP BTP.
- Proven experience in implementing SAP Cash Application with Machine Learning.
- Strong understanding of AR processes, bank reconciliation, lockbox, and payment allocation.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts including supervised learning, classification, clustering, and model evaluation.
- Experience working with APIs, data integration, and automation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to AR and Cash Application.
- Knowledge of data tools such as Python, R, or SAP Data Intelligence.
- Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance or related modules.
- Experience in high-volume transaction environments.
