Remote React/Node Developer

About the Role

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Remote React/Node Developer for a contract assignment with one of their premier Healthcare Services clients based in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, focusing on critical development and cybersecurity tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions.
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system modeling, and responding to outages.
• Document detailed system specifications and participate in evaluating, performance testing, and maintaining internally developed applications and purchased products.
• Participate in design meetings, consult with clients, and interact with third-party partners to refine, test, and debug programs.
• Ensure IT Controls are included to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of application data.
• Develop, support, and maintain web applications for enterprise and affiliates, utilizing React, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Support API development for both front-end and back-end functionalities.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., OAuth, JSON web tokens) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Monitor, report on, and enhance the performance of assigned technical security solutions.
• Provide security technology incident response and problem management, troubleshooting software/hardware issues, and performing remediation.
• Accountable for follow-up of security work requests, collaborating with other IT areas for timely completion.
• Support escalations, known issues, and out-of-cycle requests across multiple security solutions.
• Support the development and maintenance of operational documentation for technical security solutions.
• Collect, analyze, synthesize, and present data on technical security solutions to stakeholders.
• Assist in the migration, upgrade, and disposal of complex security capabilities, evaluating risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with business areas on work group initiatives.
• Assist with continuous testing, validation, and gap analysis for security hardening processes.
• Assist in execution and alignment to security reference architecture standards.
• Assist Disaster Recovery planning, design, implementation, and exercises for security technology solutions.
• Assist remediation actions from threat and vulnerability assessments or audits.
• Provide training to others on security capabilities, processes, procedures, and operational tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Related bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years related work experience.
• 2+ years in application development.
• Capacity to work independently and willingness to seek advice/assistance.
• Exposure to Project Management methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, Lean, or SAFe.
• Understanding of security concepts and controls for network, application, and operating systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and investigate security-related issues, with experience or knowledge in vulnerability and patch management.
• Strong technical, analytical, and administrative skills.
• Strong corporate work ethics, positive attitude, and professional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication skills and strong documentation abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and solutioning skills.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of LDAP technologies such as Active Directory.
