Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Technical Scrum Master

Our client, System One, is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Technical Scrum Master to support the HR Data Analytics team in delivering a next-generation HR Data Warehouse on Azure, leveraging Oracle HCM and other HR data sources.
This role will lead Agile execution and delivery for a cross-functional team building data pipelines, integrations, and AI/analytics ready data products. The ideal candidate will act as a servant leader, coach Agile practices, and drive execution across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery.
Basic Description
This position will play a critical role in coordinating workstreams, managing dependencies, and accelerating delivery of HR data capabilities to support reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives. This role will lead Agile execution and delivery for a cross-functional team building data pipelines, integrations, and AI/analytics ready data products. The ideal candidate will act as a servant leader, coach Agile practices, and drive execution across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Agile Release Train for HR Data Warehouse delivery.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
- Lead cross-team coordination, Scrum of Scrums, and PI planning.
- Manage backlog readiness in partnership with Product Owners.
- Remove impediments and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Coordinate delivery of data pipelines and integrations (Oracle HCM ? Azure).
- Track and report delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, release progress).
- Drive continuous improvement of Agile practices and team performance.
- Coordinate dependencies across data engineering, analytics, and integration teams.
- Develop and communicate release plans, timelines, and progress updates to all levels of the organization.
- Track and report key delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, release burndown).
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Ensure work items (data pipelines, integrations, data products) are clearly defined and ready for development.
- Support iterative delivery of data assets (e.g., incremental data ingestion, MVP delivery approach).
- Identify and remove blockers impacting team progress.
- Act as escalation point for risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain risk, issue, and decision logs.
- Partner with HR Analytics, Corporate Systems, and Enterprise Data teams.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ensure alignment across Oracle HCM data sourcing, Azure pipelines, and downstream reporting.
