Job Title: QA Junior Manual Tester

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Contract

  • Experience Levels: Beginner (0-2 yrs), Intermediate (3-5 yrs), Advanced (7-10 yrs), Expert (10+ yrs)

Role Description

The QA Junior Manual Tester is responsible for:

  • Test Planning: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics applications.
  • Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing of Dynamics 365 modules including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution and retesting.
  • Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to convert business processes into effective test scenarios.
  • Test Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation including test results, coverage metrics, and quality status reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • User Support: Assist end-users during UAT and handle testing-related queries.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 modules, workflows, and business processes.
  • Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and TestRail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Dynamics products within the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, EasyRepro, RSAT, and Playwright.
  • Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
  • Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or QA certifications.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Experience collaborating with Veterans Affairs stakeholders to optimize CRM workflows.
  • Proven experience supporting CRM systems in a federal agency environment.
  • Understanding of Department of Veterans Affairs operations, policies, and programs.
