Job Description
Product Owner
We are seeking a Product Owner who can translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear product requirements, a pragmatic roadmap, and well-defined user stories. This role partners closely with Technology and Development teams to drive execution, while coordinating with Sales, Client Services, and Operations to ensure alignment, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer and internal stakeholder needs; convert insights into prioritized product requirements and roadmap initiatives.
- Write clear, actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
- Own backlog prioritization, refinement, and acceptance of completed work.
- Partner with development teams to plan sprints, clarify scope, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and ensure high-quality release delivery.
- Support UAT activities and ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered functionality.
- Coordinate cross-functionally across Sales, Client Services, Technology, and Operations to drive shared understanding and successful rollout.
- Use data, structured problem-solving, and root cause analysis to assess tradeoffs and drive informed product decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to drive execution in an Agile development environment (Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Demonstrated ownership of backlog management and acceptance of delivered work.
- Technically conversant; familiarity with software systems, APIs, and system integrations. Python knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, or CRM modernization initiatives is preferred.
- Driven, proactive problem-solver with strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
