About the Role

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management and Communications Leader to guide large-scale transformation across multiple organizations. This role involves leading change management, stakeholder communications, and adoption strategies to ensure a smooth transition to modernized business processes and technology systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies and communication plans.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives including the Stakeholder Advisory Forum.
  • Conduct change impact analyses and readiness assessments.
  • Design and support training and user acceptance testing programs.
  • Develop deliverables such as Communication, Training, and Sponsor Plans.
  • Manage resistance, monitor adoption metrics, and ensure end-user readiness.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align change efforts with organizational goals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in Organizational Change Management and communications (Prosci, ADKAR, or Kotter experience preferred).
  • 10+ years in process transformation and end-user training.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience driving adoption in complex, decentralized environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
