Operations Lead Modeling & Analytics

This is a dynamic, self-motivated individual role, supporting the development of a Bond Administration application as a collaborative member of the Modeling and Analytics team. Responsibilities include maintaining bond payment models, troubleshooting differences, and providing requirements for application defects and enhancements.
Key Job Functions
- Reverse engineer and maintain deal-level pay rules used to calculate multi-class securitization factors and payments.
- Onboard securities/deals to facilitate bond administration, bond disclosure, and IRS tax calculations and reporting.
- Participate in status meetings with clients and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product owners and key stakeholders to identify and implement system and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations or management staff of assigned business unit(s), or develop specifications for such queries or analyses to be performed by others.
- Lead/participate in testing and acceptance of newly developed platform functionality.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of process improvement and risk management.
- Expertise in Data Reporting and Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS).
- Minimum 7 years of experience, with 3 years directly in the Mortgage-backed Securities industry.
- In-depth knowledge of MBS and the housing finance industry.
- Strong analytical and technical skillset, including SQL, VBA, C++, and advanced Excel formulas and functions.
- Experience with Intex or related software is a significant plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, a technical discipline, or equivalent industry-related experience.
