Job Description
OCI Cloud Security Engineer
Amiseq Inc. is seeking an experienced OCI Cloud Security Engineer to join a remote team. This role is crucial for securing, managing, and optimizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments that support production workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage OCI infrastructure including compute, networking, IAM, and storage.
- Implement and maintain OCI security services such as Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Logging, and Vault.
- Design and manage secure networking solutions, including VCNs, subnets, gateways, firewalls, and NAT.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for OCI environments.
- Automate configuration and patch management processes utilizing Ansible.
- Monitor systems, actively respond to security alerts, and support incident remediation efforts.
- Maintain robust backups, disaster recovery plans, and high availability setups.
- Ensure continuous compliance with security best practices and industry standards like ISO and SOC 2.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or cloud engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically with OCI.
- Strong knowledge of OCI networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and various security controls.
- Demonstrated experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and Ansible for automation.
- Proven track record of supporting production cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
