Position Summary

The Junior QA role at Jobs via Dice is focused on quality assurance testing for .Net and Oracle applications. The position includes analyzing requirements, developing test plans, creating test cases, and documenting defects for internal software used by ADOR business units and taxpayers on medium-scale projects.

Essential Functions

Quality Assurance Testing: Create test plans ensuring traceability and complete coverage for testing basic to intermediate projects. Design detailed test cases for new applications and updates. Plan and perform testing with appropriate test data schedules. Define regression test plans and cases for future projects. Perform retests and rework as needed and document procedures for replicability and compliance.

Support: Document test results and usability issues. Identify process improvement needs and help implement changes. Develop QA documentation and share knowledge with team members. Adhere to Project Management Lifecycle, TFS standards, and other team processes.

Requirements Gathering: Participate in requirements gathering and technical analysis. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to fully understand functional requirements.

Agency/Department Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry laws, policies and best practices through research and training. Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Abilities & Additional Demands

Ability to clear background and tax compliance verifications in Arizona. Must work both independently and in teams, maintain confidentiality and learn LEAN tools. The role occasionally requires physical exertion (up to 20 pounds of force) without exposure to severe environmental conditions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum two years of QA testing and analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of QA software testing tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, TFS, Azure DevOps, and Altova.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in PC, Windows, MS Office and Google Suite applications.

Preferred Skills

Experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments is preferred.
