Job Description
Junior QA Engineer at Puresoft, Inc.
Puresoft, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Junior QA Engineer to join their team. This 100% remote position, on a 12+ month contract, involves ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile dApps, with a strong focus on blockchain technologies. You will contribute to a cutting-edge environment, collaborating with engineers and improving QA processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and/or mobile dApps.
- Test smart contract interactions, transaction flows, wallet connections, and blockchain network behaviors.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate UI/UX behavior across different browsers, devices, and wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly with reproducible steps.
- Collaborate with engineers to define acceptance criteria and improve testability.
- Participate in release planning and ensure quality gates are met before deployment.
- Test edge cases related to blockchain systems (gas fees, transaction failures, network latency, chain reorgs).
- Contribute to improving QA processes, tooling, and documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer (web or mobile).
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Experience testing web applications (REST APIs, frontend UI, backend services).
- Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools (Jira, Linear, TestRail, etc.).
- Basic understanding of blockchain concepts: Wallets and transactions, Smart contracts, Public vs private networks.
- Ability to work independently and communicate issues clearly.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing dApps, Web3, DeFi, NFT, or crypto products.
- Hands-on experience with smart contracts (Solidity basics, reading contract code).
- Experience with test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Experience testing security-sensitive systems.
- Familiarity with testnet/mainnet environments (Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, etc.).
