Job Description

Junior Data Analyst at MSYS Inc.

MSYS Inc., a client of Dice, is actively seeking a Junior Data Analyst to provide critical support for data collection, management, and system administration. This long-term, remote position involves working 37.5 hours per week and focuses on end-user support for proprietary data systems, particularly within the education sector.

Characteristic Responsibilities

  • Provide system and end-user support for proprietary systems such as myNHDOE, SEEDS, iNHDEX, and ESSP.
  • Advise and train school district employees and NHED personnel on system access and usage.
  • Troubleshoot system issues to ensure normal functioning and system integrity.
  • Recommend system expansions or modifications to improve workflow and serve new purposes.
  • Test bug fixes and feature enhancements for supported data systems.
  • Consult with management to align on system principles and objectives.
  • Assess and adapt pre-developed application packages to meet NHED's specific needs.
  • Support data collection, processing, and reporting, and document policies for data accuracy in program outcomes and state/federal reporting.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least five years of experience as a data system support analyst/administrator and/or data analyst.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SQL.
  • Five years of experience in data collection/management/analysis.
  • Five years of experience with data system administration/analysis.
  • Five years of experience providing end-user support for data systems.
  • Three years of experience with data system testing.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with education-related data or data systems (K-12 or government experience highly desired).

Desired Skills

  • Highly desired: Three years of additional experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Two years of experience using and administering JIRA.
