Cyquent, Inc., a client of Dice, is seeking a Junior Cloud Devops Engineer. This role is crucial for optimizing and maintaining the software development environment, ensuring seamless operations for developers.
This is a remote position.
Position Overview
The Junior Cloud Devops Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the software development environment. This includes managing infrastructure, build, integration, and software deployment processes. You will also be involved in creating email accounts and providing system access. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby and Python is essential for this role.
Your core mission is to empower developers by removing deployment bottlenecks. This position focuses on automating routine tasks, enabling the team to push code to the Maryland Cloud with maximum efficiency at any time.
Key Responsibilities
- Zero-Touch Deployment: Build robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate instant updates for internal MDH applications.
- Security at Speed: Implement AI-driven automation for security audits and HIPAA compliance checks within the pipeline, ensuring security measures do not impede deployment speed.
- Power Platform Governance: Establish "Managed Environments" and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules to secure internal PowerApps.
- Emergency Response: Proactively monitor internal systems and leverage AI-driven log analysis to identify and resolve issues before MDH staff are affected.
Required Experience & Education
Applicants should possess at least two (2) years of relevant general experience.
Specialized experience must include at least one (1) year in the following areas:
- Fast-Paced DevOps: Demonstrated experience in high-deployment environments, handling multiple code pushes per day.
- IaC + AI: Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform/CloudFormation, with a workflow that integrates AI for generating and validating infrastructure code.
- Familiarity with Gov Cloud environments.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required for this position.
