Insurance Subject Matter Expert
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts. Our client, FSTONE Technologies, is seeking an experienced Insurance Subject Matter Expert to join the multidisciplinary team that supports the development, evaluation, and improvement of AI models used across insurance processes.
The Insurance Subject Matter Expert bridges domain expertise and data-driven insights to ensure AI systems are accurate, compliant, and aligned with industry standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AI, data science, and product teams on underwriting and claims processing models.
- Identify gaps, biases, and limitations in existing models.
- Validate AI outputs against real-world insurance practices and regulatory standards.
- Define key metrics and success criteria for model performance.
- Support data labeling with insurance-specific context and expertise.
- Assist in designing explainable AI frameworks for transparency.
- Keep up-to-date with insurance regulations and emerging AI applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in the insurance industry including underwriting, claims, risk modeling, or product management.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, policy structures, and regulatory frameworks.
