Job Description
Instructor Trainer Role at Link Technologies
Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), an IT consulting firm, is actively seeking an Instructor Trainer to join its dynamic team. This contract role is remote, offering an opportunity to shape technical training programs for critical systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in developing training programs for ERP systems.
- Extensive experience in developing accessibility-compliant training content.
- Proficiency in working with eLearning software.
- Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP system.
- Expertise in Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Experience with MS Teams and Channel communication for large teams.
- Proven ability to maintain and update SharePoint sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local government).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Jira.
Responsibilities
The Instructor Trainer will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Writing literature and materials for training programs and designing exercises to enhance lectures.
- Delivering on-site and web-based training courses for various software solutions.
- Leading the development of information delivery infrastructure and contributing to training material and technical documentation.
- Creating instructor materials such as course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids for COTS products, IT-driven in-house solutions, and desktop support processes (e.g., Remote Access Systems).
- Assisting with formatting training materials created by other DIR Staff.
- Determining customer needs and developing plans to meet them.
- Assisting in the design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum.
- Planning, directing, and undertaking classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies.
- Managing the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and the Quality Management System.
- Helping staff with productivity reporting.
- Researching and recommending vendors and costs for various training methods.
- Staying current with developments in computer training, especially alternative media/methods for instruction.
- Organizing and drafting curriculum, creating graphics, and integrating them into curriculum using a computer.
- Teaching short technical courses to maintain proficiency and develop new instructional techniques/courses.
Additional Job Duties:
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for specific financial business areas.
- Develop accessibility-compliant, role-based content, actively participating in system design and testing.
- Produce clear, user-friendly guides and training materials.
- Facilitate effective instructor-led and web-based training for trainers and end users.
- Manage and update the training SharePoint site.
- Incorporate new curriculum, develop classroom techniques, and revise test items as a testing officer.
- Collaborate with a team of training specialists in technical and system curriculum delivery.
- Gather, analyze, translate, and compose technical information into clear materials for various personnel.
- Collect data and analyze audiences and training needs based on new business processes.
- Teach technical courses and develop new instructional techniques.
- Possess a basic understanding of EIR Accessibility and assistive technologies.
- Understand protocols for communicating with customers requiring special assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
