Job Description
Information System Security Officer
Idexcel Inc., a client of Dice, is seeking an Information System Security Officer. This role is responsible for managing security assessments, applications, domains, and cloud computing, as well as leading several large, complex, and high-risk projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage security assessments, applications/domains, and cloud computing.
- Lead large, complex, and high-risk projects/initiatives.
- Implement security controls, conduct risk assessments, and document compliance measures (NIST RMF, ISO standards).
- Evaluate and support documentation, validation, and accreditation processes for IT systems.
- Ensure appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance.
- Support the development of secure enterprise IT architecture blueprints, principles, models, and guidelines.
- Utilize network scanning and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Apply in-depth understanding of security architecture principles and best practices.
- Leverage Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools for Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the client's A&A process, including stakeholder guidance and onboarding new resources.
- Maintain schedules and action plans.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives.
Experience and Education:
- 8-12 years of relevant experience.
- Accredited College/University degree in an applicable field or four additional years of related experience if the degree is not in an applicable field.
- Typically performs all functional duties independently.
