Informatica Power Center Developer
As an Informatica Power Center Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust ETL solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, excellent SQL skills, and proficiency in various database technologies. You will work on critical data integration projects, ensuring data quality and optimal performance across enterprise systems.
This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to significant data initiatives from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows utilizing Informatica PowerCenter.
- Develop and maintain mappings, sessions, workflows, and worklets to support data integration.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse source systems into enterprise data warehouses.
- Perform comprehensive data validation, implement data quality checks, and optimize ETL process performance.
- Work extensively with leading database technologies including Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and Teradata.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, analyze logs, and efficiently resolve data-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and data architects to translate requirements into effective ETL designs.
- Implement incremental loads, Change Data Capture (CDC), and advanced data transformation logic.
- Optimize ETL workflows for superior performance and scalability.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all ETL processes and data mappings.
- Support production deployments and provide ongoing maintenance to ensure operational excellence.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Strong background in ETL development and complex data integration projects.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL and fundamental database concepts.
- Experience working with data warehouses and data marts.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux scripting for automation and data manipulation.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Proven experience with performance tuning and workflow optimization within Informatica.
- Demonstrated ability to debug ETL jobs and resolve intricate data issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Exposure to leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools like Control-M.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
