Role Overview
We are seeking a Manager of Data & Business Intelligence to lead the data, reporting, and dashboard function across our residential and commercial services business (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical). This role owns the end-to-end analytics lifecycle across ServiceTitan and Domo, partnering broadly across the organization - up to and including the CEO - to turn data into actionable insight.
The position blends hands-on data analysis and dashboard development with the ownership and judgment expected of a manager, including a dependable weekly ServiceTitan reporting cadence, data governance, and the standards that keep analytics consistent, reliable, and clear as adoption scales.
Essential Functions
- Own the design, build, and weekly refresh of ServiceTitan dashboards and reporting for leadership and business units, covering core operating metrics such as booked rate, conversion rate, average ticket, revenue per tech per day, membership attach rate, and CSR bookings per hour.
- Establish and maintain a reliable recurring refresh cadence (weekly at minimum) so leadership and GMs are working from current, trustworthy numbers.
- Design, build, and maintain Domo dashboards, cards, and reports for leadership and business teams, ensuring they are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with decision-making needs.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, performance drivers, and improvement opportunities across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical business units.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches and measurable KPIs, and proactively surface insights related to productivity, service mix, margins, inventory usage, vendor performance, and customer outcomes.
- Define and maintain KPI definitions, metric logic, and data documentation to ensure consistency across all reporting.
- Establish best practices and standards for data modeling, naming conventions, and dashboard design across ServiceTitan and Domo.
- Serve as steward for data quality, partnering with data source owners to identify and resolve issues, and setting guardrails for self-service analytics.
- Partner with senior leadership, including the CEO, to prioritize analytics initiatives, manage stakeholder expectations, and translate strategy into actionable reporting.
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and present findings to executives in a clear, business-focused manner.
- Perform general administration and monitoring of the Domo and ServiceTitan reporting environments and underlying data sources.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as they arise.
- Mentor and develop analysts and help build out the data and analytics function as it scales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in CS, IS, Data or Analytics.
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles, with demonstrated progression into a senior or lead capacity.
- Consulting background (management, strategy, or analytics consulting) with a track record of solving ambiguous problems for multiple stakeholders.
- Strong, hands-on data analysis capabilities - able to independently move from raw data to defensible insight without relying on others to do the analysis.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining ServiceTitan dashboards and reporting, including standing up and sustaining a recurring (weekly) refresh cadence.
- Strong hands-on experience with Domo (Magic ETL, DataFlows, Beast Modes, dashboards, cards).
- Strong SQL skills and experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
- Experience building executive-level and operational dashboards.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work directly with C-suite leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI assisted analytics.
- Experience in residential home services, field services, or multi-location service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar).
- Familiarity with common source systems such as ServiceTitan, ERP, CRM, or accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Intacct).
- Experience defining KPIs, metrics, or analytics standards in a growing organization.
- Experience leading or building out an analytics / BI function.
