Job Overview
The Contract Analyst role at Contract Analyst - Energy Trading Agreements is responsible for drafting and negotiating master trading agreements and ancillary contracts for physical and financial energy commodity transactions. The objective is to minimize credit, legal, and operational risk while ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate master trading agreements and ancillary contracts.
- Ensure contracts minimize risks and comply with standards.
- Review legal language to identify gaps and resolve issues.
- Manage both financially and physically settled commodity contracts.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years experience with standard energy trading agreements such as NAESB, EEI, Gas NAESB, IECA.
- Highly proficient in MASTER AGREEMENT negotiations and terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
