Role Overview
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a customer-facing position focused on ensuring a smooth transition from legacy Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms to Optum's new enterprise MFT platform. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, translating legacy configurations into designs for the new platform, and achieving equivalent business outcomes. The position emphasizes requirements gathering, configuration, validation, and documentation, rather than software development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8-10 years of experience in business systems analysis, platform implementations, customer onboarding, integrations, or configuration-heavy environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting file transfer or integration platforms.
- Proven ability to work directly with customers in complex, enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting system migrations or large-scale customer transitions is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel efforts and drive work to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in customer-facing contexts.
Required AI Skills
- Demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, GenAI platforms) with a minimum of 90% weekly usage.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making workflows.
