About the Role

The Business Analyst / Product Owner U.S. P&C Insurance Domain is responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of innovative insurance technology solutions. Candidates must have deep expertise in the U.S. Property & Casualty insurance domain, with experience that spans quoting, underwriting, policy servicing, and compliance.

This role blends strong domain knowledge, product thinking, and analytical skills to translate complex business requirements into actionable deliverables in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Own the product backlog, define and prioritize user stories and epics.
  • Lead requirements elicitation via interviews, workshops, and JAD sessions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, product, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Partner with development and QA teams to validate functional behavior.
  • Support UAT planning and execution.
  • Contribute to MVP definition, product roadmap, and release prioritization.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies as a key Scrum team member.
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to compliance and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. P&C insurance domain.
  • Experience across the policy lifecycle (quoting to renewals).
  • Understanding of underwriting, rating, and product configuration.
  • Proven experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize backlogs using Agile/Scrum.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with commercial and specialty lines insurers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in insurance.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to insurance platform modernization or digital transformation.
  • Experience with offshore/onshore delivery models.
  • Background in data-driven insurance products or workflow automation.
  • Certifications such as CSPO, CBAP, or IIBA-AAC are a plus.
