About the Aviation Data Specialist Role

The Jeppesen ForeFlight Global Data Management team at Jeppesen Sanderson Inc is seeking an entry level Aviation Data Specialist with a focus on GIS Systems and airport environment information. This fully remote position involves capturing and updating aeronautical data from across the globe to support digital products that aid pilots and passengers in safe and efficient travel.

Position Responsibilities

  • Analyze electronic documents, digital maps, and satellite imagery to assess impacts.
  • Update Jeppesen Airport Geospatial databases based on change impact.
  • Perform quality control and assurance measures using prescribed processes.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and regulatory authorities for clarification queries.
  • Adapt to evolving production software and processes.
  • Interact daily with a US-based remote team and global peers.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience with GIS Mapping Software (ESRI ArcGIS and/or QGIS).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and remote work experience.
  • Preferred: Background in aviation, cartography, remote sensing, or GIS programming.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base pay with a pay range of $45,900 to $62,100, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and insurance plans.
