Overview

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, York Solutions LLC, is seeking an Automation Engineer Platform Support to innovate and streamline infrastructure operations through automation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Terraform and Ansible Automation Platform environments.
  • Drive automation initiatives integrating Terraform and Ansible for efficient deployment.
  • Partner with teams to identify manual processes for automation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to implement IaC solutions and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in projects upgrading on-prem Ansible and deploying to AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Document designs, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support a "show and tell" culture by presenting automation solutions.
  • Contribute to migration of legacy on-prem infrastructure to the cloud.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Terraform (including Terraform Cloud) and Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
  • Familiarity with Git and Unix/Linux (RHEL).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, monitoring, and documenting automation processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Dynatrace monitoring.
  • Exposure to AWS, Google Cloud Platform; Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with on-prem Terraform/Ansible deployments and cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with IDP platforms like Harness or Backstage.
  • Proven history of turning manual processes into automated solutions.
