Job Overview: ATF E-OPES Program Opportunities
SAIC is actively seeking talented individuals, both incumbent and external, to support the Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Enterprise Optimization of EPS Systems (E-OPES) contract. This critical program aims to consolidate multiple existing ATF systems into a single, fully-integrated web application, driving significant modernization and efficiency.
These positions are contingent upon contract award, which is anticipated for May 2026, with a projected start date in June 2026.
Project Scope & Technical Focus
Successful candidates will contribute to a comprehensive transformation effort, including:
- Business Process Reengineering to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) design to create a consolidated and intuitive user experience.
- Cloud and application architecture design to build a robust and scalable infrastructure.
- Database consolidation for improved data management and accessibility.
- Rebuilding applications utilizing a modern low-code platform for rapid development.
- Java development expertise for building APIs and functional extensions.
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) development to automate repetitive tasks.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) expertise to enhance system capabilities.
Work Arrangement & Travel
All positions are remote and must be performed within the United States. Occasional travel to customer sites (up to 25% of the time) may be required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum education and experience requirements will vary based on the specific role and level.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Public Trust clearance is required.
- Successful completion of an SAIC background investigation is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, SAFe certifications, or AWS technical certifications.
