ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist at Encore Consulting Services
As an ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist with Encore Consulting Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all programs, services, and activities are accessible to individuals using assistive technology. This position involves guiding individuals and teams in leveraging various tools and techniques to meet federal and state accessibility guidelines.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist individuals and teams in using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, WAVE, Lighthouse, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA Screen Reader, and Microsoft accessibility checkers.
- Utilize manual keyboard navigation techniques to ensure accessibility for assistive technology users.
- Ensure programs, services, and activities follow federal and state guidelines for accessibility.
- Apply extensive knowledge of web communication accessibility barriers.
- Demonstrate mid-to-expert knowledge of current HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work independently or with little supervision, as well as collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Describe required actions clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Apply knowledge of Internet/Intranet application design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance methodologies.
