Senior Disputes Operations Associate

Accountabilities

  • Lead end-to-end resolution of complex transaction disputes, from investigation to final decision.
  • Liaise with customers and merchants to provide timely and accurate updates on cases.
  • Manage the lifecycle of filing, tracking, and reconciliation of chargebacks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns relating to fraud and merchant trends, reporting findings to leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes and workflows within Dispute Operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Banking Operations team, guiding on complex cases and monitoring regulatory updates.
  • Assist leadership with formal complaint filing and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in disputes, investigations, chargebacks, and banking operations, ideally in a FinTech environment.
  • Mastery of Regulation E and NACHA rules, and extensive experience with Visa card rules.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools, with the ability to utilize data for decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating with Risk Analysts to enhance controls and mitigate financial losses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex concepts and provide customer service.
  • A strategic mindset focused on optimizing processes for scalable results.
