This role is designed for a highly skilled data engineering professional who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and platforms. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the organization’s data infrastructure while enabling analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. The position offers opportunities to collaborate across technical and business teams, translating requirements into efficient, high-quality data solutions.

Accountabilities
- Own and maintain the modern data platform, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability across systems.
- Monitor and optimize Snowflake, dbt transformations, data ingestion pipelines, and Tableau analytics layers.
- Build data pipelines and APIs to connect across data systems and unlock new business capabilities.
- Implement data engineering best practices, including CI/CD workflows, testing, and documentation.
- Design and maintain scalable dbt models and ELT pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
- Partner with analysts and stakeholders to deliver trusted, business-ready data sets.
- Reduce complexity and optimize storage and consumption costs.
- Design and maintain dashboards, including Tableau administrative management.
- Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in platform architecture, data processes, and pipeline performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, with a strong track record of modern data infrastructure development.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Snowflake data warehousing.
- Deep experience with dbt for data modeling, testing, and documentation.
- Familiarity with Tableau Server, ideally as an administrator.
- Proficient with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD practices.
- Some experience with Python and API development.
- Ability to design efficient, scalable, and reliable data systems that meet real-world business needs.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous or evolving business contexts and providing data clarity.
- Strong communication skills for technical and business audiences.
- Knowledge of data engineering best practices, security considerations, and cost optimization.
- Startup experience and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
