Principal ML System Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal ML System Engineer based in Canada.

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity focused on shaping the machine learning platform that supports ML and generative AI development at scale.
You will define the technical vision, architecture, standards, and roadmap for critical ML infrastructure and MLOps capabilities.
The role spans model training, evaluation, deployment, serving, monitoring, reliability, security, and cost optimization.
You will work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to translate business priorities into multi-quarter technical strategies.
As a technical authority, you will influence engineering practices across teams while guiding senior engineers and raising the bar for ML systems.
The environment is highly collaborative and specialized, with opportunities to build scalable, secure, and high-impact AI capabilities.
The position is remote in Canada or based in Mississauga, offering the opportunity to influence organization-wide ML engineering strategy.
