About the Role
This position, posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company, seeks a skilled Localization Engineer. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and supporting the Localization Pipeline technology, ensuring seamless integrations and boosting efficiency for the Globalization team. As a Localization Engineer, you will lead the adoption of innovative technologies to dynamically support the localization process, ultimately delivering high-quality multilingual content. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and promote development best practices within an inclusive, solution-driven company culture.
Accountabilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable solutions within established timelines.
- Develop and maintain scalable components supporting the localization pipeline.
- Build internal tools and automation to improve team efficiencies.
- Implement integrations with translation management systems (TMS).
- Create tools leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) for multilingual support.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Translators, and QA teams for effective localization.
- Diagnose and optimize systems for multilingual content delivery.
- Contribute to AI-based localization frameworks.
- Maintain accountability for the entire code lifecycle.
- Participate in open-source projects.
Requirements
- 5 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Go, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
- Working knowledge of software localization methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with TMS platforms like Smartling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
